Midwest Fur Fest 2009 :UPDATE:

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 23, 2009, 12:46 PM
:UPDATE-I added the two Pics below:

So, I decided to join my boyfriend, :iconundertakoshi: at Midwest Fur Fest for the first time. For my first furry convention, it was rather interesting. I could not believe how many extremely detailed full body fur suits there were running around. It seemed like there were a ton of wolves.

I started the day by doing some shopping in the Dealers Den. Because I didn't have anything furry on, the first thing I bought was a pair of rabbit ears, of which I bent to create cat ears, and a lanyard with paws on it for my badge. After playing with the many stuffed tails on display and riffling through the many t-shirt dealers, I found one dealer that was selling replica swords. Of course with me being somewhat of a sword collector, I started looking through all of the available options hoping to find one of interest. It was then, my partner in crime, Mario, spotted an item that our friend, :iconyoshistar-baxter: would absolutely love. I decided it was best to spend my money on my friend instead of myself and bought the item and a t-shirt.

After putting the goodies in the car, both Mario and I made our way to Artist Row where I commissioned an artist to draw a pic of my character on a badge. Of course he was busy working on another piece so my badge was going to take a while to get done. I decided to take a walk through Artist Row, talking to all the artists and looking at their portfolios. I was looking at a comic when a voice appeared out of nowhere asking how it was. I looked up and there in front of me was a guy wearing a Team Luigi shirt. I just laughed...not at his work but at the fact that I was wearing a Team Mario shirt and was walking around with Fire Mario. Man put the two of them together and things got interesting. Needless to say, the comic I was reading was drawn by him and was amazing.

After walking through Artist Row, Mario and I decided to roam around and try to find Bowser....oh yeah so apparently there was a Bowser running around the fest. We heard about him from many different people but never came across him. Bummer. However, there was a Lucario who challenged Mario to a Brawl....after all was said and done, Mario pulled out a star on Lucario and Lucario ran off. Go Mario!!! After taking a sitdown break, meeting up with some of Mario's online friends and getting my commissioned badge, which by the way came out great, the evening was ended a bit early with a phone call...Boooo......

Unlike my counterpart, :iconundertakoshi:, I did manage to get two pictures in my awe.

Until Next Time!!

~ When you love something, you have to learn to hate, too.

~ Everybody thinks differently which can also mean that some people would do bad things.
